end of a rollercoaster week...

This past week was awesome and horrible at different moments for me, my wife, work... immediate family etc.
The baby is kicking alot. I mean ALOT. My wife likes to look at me with the announcement every time. "He just did it!" I then proceed to feel her water-ballooned tummy and hope for Mr. Jacob to give me his best David Beckham kick to my palm, but to no avail. I think I am really more exited with a physical son in my hands. Right now, I KNOW he is a real thing. God has created a being with similar traits to his parents... hopefully not my gut. But he is something that really has a special connection to his mother now. Not me. I already love him, but I think reality will click on for me when I am rocking him in my arms. Does this make sense? I hope so.
I am listening to a really old Supertones album now and its bringing back memories. I have a few select albums that really do that for me. Ghoti Hooks "Sumo Surprise", Slick Shoes' "Rusty" and the Supertones' first few albums. Memories of the GOOD C.C.A. days, before love was ever a problem for me. Haha. Campfires at the beach. Josh Bove swimming underwater from a dozen yards away to scare the crap out of me in the surf. Steve Broberg always telling me great advice and me not listening to him. June Walsh & Julie Paquin being faithful servants to the Lord and making us put on sunscreen & cooking hot-dogs for us. I really wish I had a roster of the old youth group. I have talked to a few, even recently hearing from a good buddy Mark Christensen. I miss him. I miss the good old days.
Please let me know if you own, know how to acquire, or where to rent a time-machine.
Burch out.
